Entanglement Found Between Photons Across Time

If you don't yet know that quantum physics can be strange then you will after reading about this. There is a concept in quantum mechanics called quantum entanglement in which two entangled particles can become related to each other such that the properties of one are affected by the other. Einstein was so bothered by it that he mockingly called quantum entanglement, "spooky action at a distance" so this one should have Einstein turning in his grave.

It had long been known that if you have two entangled pairs of quantum partials and if two of particles in opposite pairs become entangled forming a new entangled pair that the other two from another entangled pair. In the above illustration we have two entangled pairs of photons that of photons (1-2) and photons (3-4).  If photons 2 and 3 formed an entangled pair of  photons (2-3), then the other two form an entangled pair of  photons (1-4).

Here is where it gets really strange. As shown above if form one entangled pair of  photons (1-2) and then destroy photon 1. Now subsequently form a new entangled pair of  photons (3-4) of photons that did not yet exist when photon 1 was destroyed. Then from an entangled pair of  photons (2-3) you still get the entangled pair of photons (1-4) even though photon 1 was destroyed before photon 4 was even in existance.

Based on image from Entanglement Between Photons that have Never Coexisted.

In this particular experiment the entangled pair (1-2) and each photon were produced at time a.  Photon 1 was then detected at time b destroying photon 1. The later at time c the entangled pair (3-4) and each photon were produced at time c after photon 1 was destroyed. Then at time d photons 2 and 3 became the entangled pair (2-3), however the process also produced the entangled pair (1-4) despite the fact that photon 1 was destroyed before photon 4 was produced. At time e photons 2 and 3are detected destroying both photons, then finally photons 4 is detected a time f and shown to have been entangled with photon 1 despite the fact that they never existed at the same time.

What had to have happed is that the quantum information about  photon 1 had to preserve after its destruction allowing it to posthumously  affect photon 4. This provides additional support along with the infamous double silt experiment for the idea that the universe is at its most fundamental level made of information. The double slit experiment and in particular quantum eraser indicate that the universe is designed to produce information to be observed by conscious beings such as our selves. This experiment is further support for this idea since the quantum information about  photon 1 had to preserve after its destruction. This idea of an  information universe is a promising view of reality that readily explains allot of things are the world we live in.
